im 21, my husbands 30, we have babies, we are living off welfare, and my grandparents financial support. My husband does not have a career or a line of work, he has done proactically every minimum wage, entry level job you can think of, and has gotten fired from a few, or just quit. hes done administrative, fast food, warehouse, dishwashing, machinist, cashier, deli worker, sign holder, taco bell…etc. i think his attitude does not mesh well with the public because he has strong belifs and a unique way of looking at life.he is a hard worker and he tries but sometimes he gets fired…..hes been delt a tough hand thus far. he does not have any work references either, and has 2 misdemeanors from abput 7 years ago for being beligerent with 2 cops. he has also been in jail and was on parole for a while for thoews misdemeanors. oh ya and he doesnt have a drivers license and doesnt know how to drive. i know u r thinking “why is she still with him?” but i love him and when i met him i was only 16 and he was homeless, i provided him a home and we got married and now i have 2 kids. we have been srtuugling with money forever and my family doesnt want to help anymore, we are on cash assistance but they dont help him find a job or place him anywhere. hes applied everywhere in our city, oceanside,ca. we check craigslist everyday for the past 2 months and no one responds to his apps(even with a nice resume attatched) ya we submit resumes to even mcdonalds…what else ca we possibly do? o ya and hes banned from the military because he told them he used drugs when he was a teenager and so he was DQ’d……

You are married to a useless freeloader. He has no skills or experience that make him employable. He has no good references. A 30 yr old with a resume of 10 jobs in 7 years is bad news and his resume goes in the round file. You go get a job and he stays home with the children.

One thing I had learned from working in public that you have to bite your own tongue. Having a mouth is no way to get along with managers or co workers. I used to work in customer service for 4 years.VERY stressful..I had people yell,scream, called me every name in the book but I was not allow to talk back to them. What I did when I got home was take my aggressions on a video game..Trust me, it did work. Maybe your husband needs to seek professional therapy why he has a unique personality. You both might not agree to it but it might help him with the workforce and people in general. As for a criminal record, a misdemeanors isn’t bad like a felony. I know some people who went to jail for misdemeanors and got excellent jobs. As for the driving: Do you drive or do you have a family member that drives? Being 30 he should be able to drive on his own. Get him to the DMV apply for his permit and teach him to drive. It took me until late 20′s until I was able to drive on my own as I wasn’t interested .trust me, its a lot easier to get around than asking someone to take you places.. Last thing I could suggest is enrolling him into school. Get him in a subject he would love to do..They help with funding…grants,scholarships. You want to provide a life for your kids and teaching them to live off welfare isn’t providing them structure..If you are not working, maybe you should look for a job.A lot of mothers who have small kids DO work for a living.
