Here something I’ll bet you never considered. Hepititis C. A family member of mine contracted it from snorting coke. Using the same straw as someone else. That is a big time health risk, you can die from it. My family member will. I cant say for sure about any other part of your body, but any drug use will hurt your kidneys because they have to process it. Your heart doesn’t like coke much either. Also, your teeth will wear down from grinding. So stop doing it

the redness of the nose may fade over time—but the internal damage and size would most likely stay the same
also the effect on the brain (killing of cells) and the dopamine can never be fully repaired
coke use can also cause heart failure, stupidity, hallucinations, lose od friends/family/work/home, death etc……

In answer to your posted question: If caught early enough, it COULD. Other possible temporary / long term damages from cocaine: loss of collagen in the skin ( this causes premature wrinkling), hallucinations, some loss / extrme loss ( it depends on length of time used, age of user, and amount used) of memory.

A close friend of mine tried cocaine a few years ago…it turned out her body couldn’t handle it and she was in a coma for three months. After she woke up she could only move her eyes and no other part of her body. She’s confined to the bed and has suffered part brain damage….doctors think she may die and her parents even though old are thinking of letting the doctors stop her glucose intake so she doesn’t have to suffer….but dont think of trying….you also lose concentration, physical ability, parts of your memory….you could blow your life away.

I’m an RN at an ER, a hole can begin in the cartilage in the middle of the nose, this is not repairable. The heart is also affected in several ways and most of them do not repair themselves. The brain while on cocaine becomes dopamine depleted after the person stops (forever) but this does repair itself over time. Also, the brain while someone is using basically shuts down at the frontal lobe which is called the “Stop System” or the ability to think something through, consider consequence’s and make the right decision. The inhibitors are shut of, so all that is working is the “Go System” and the user does not have the ability to think rationally. This also will repair it’s self rather quickly. There is a great documentary series on HBO on Demand called “Addiction” There are several series on it and it explains all of the medical information. Let me know if you have more questions.
