What Is The British Armed Forces Stance On Non-recreational Drugs?

Filed in Category Recreational Drug Use

I’ve applied to join the Royal Marines.I’ve never used recreational drugs, but i have sometimes cycled anabolic steroids and other performance enhancing drugs.
Before you judge,i know plenty of people in the forces who do use steroids, though they don’t make a song and dance about it !
If you’re caught with things like steroids, stimulants or analgesics….are you out A.S.A.P..?

If you are caught with non perscription drugs in you system, you will find yourself leaving.
And the door will not hit your ar5e on the way out.

You are wrong in the statement that plenty of people in the forces use performance enhancing drugs.
The drug testing regime in the forces is far stricter than in civvy street.
    That is In UK anyway.

You face being kicked out of the armed forces if caught with illegal controlled substances in your system. Although some lucky individuals get put on a rehab course and get to stay in, the majority get dishonourably discharged (kicked out).

well lets just say, if your in the army now, prepare to be court marshalled, the army has every right to conduct random drugs tests, and they will conduct one soon, so they’ll find out
