I think my brother takes heroin, as I know his friends do. How will I be able to tell for sure without having to ask him?

Have you noticed changes in his appearance? If his eyes are always red and his pupils dilated, this might be a sign. Drastic loss or gain of weight are also signs. See if his personality has changed too. If he was once placid and is now violent, or if his grades have recently been declining. If he possesses drug paraphernalia, that’s a big clue too. Be on the lookout for tourniquets, foils, pipes, syringes. If these signs are evident in your brother, talk to him about this and tell your parents. Good luck!
Inability to relax or have fun without doing drugs.
Sudden changes in work or school attendance and quality of work or grades.
Frequently borrowing money, selling possessions, or stealing items from employer, home, or school.
Angry outbursts, mood swings, irritability, manic behavior, or overall attitude change.
Talking incoherently or making inappropriate remarks.
Deterioration of physical appearance and grooming.
Wearing sunglasses and/or long sleeve shirts frequently or at inappropriate times.
No longer spending time with friends who don’t use drugs and/or associating with known users.
Engaging in secretive or suspicious behaviors, such as making frequent trips to the restroom, basement, or other isolated areas where drug use would be undisturbed.
Expressing feelings of exhaustion, depression, and hopelessness.
go through his junk
does he twitch?
Needle punctures(fark, whats that called again) =(
if his arm looks like a pin cushion…or if he’s sleeping under a bridge
does his eyes seem really hazy?? does he have spurts of energy at times and other times does he sleep a lot ? ? does he go through mood swings ? ? Does he appear to be loosing weight, if you can answer yes to most of these then good chance hes doing it…..
Irrational behavior, sleeping alot in the day and up all night, lazy, acting like a crazy wacko, paranoid. I am just guessing. My mother-in-law is a meth addict and those are some of her behavior. But I dont know if a heroin addict would act different.
id check his arms to see the injection wounds, and check his behavior around the house. my brother did many drugs im pretty sure, and he wa abnoramlly happy ALL THE TIME..scary
Ask him secretly, “bro i got some heroin for us, if he jumps up then you got him” that is one scientific theory. another is that you are the one addicted to heroin and you want to be able to hide it good from your family
There is the obvious behavioral signs when someone is on drugs, but that could be any drugs. I think it is obvious when they have the typical breakouts on their face and body. Not like your typical acne. They are different. You could always look for track marks, but this isn’t always visible.
needle marks on the arms, and weight loss
