I want to know if there is any negative effects of LSD or Shrooms and if there are positive effects also.
How do they work?
What do they do to your brain?

there is a lot of propaganda against lsd. Lsd is one of the most secure drugs ever. Doesnt cause adiction, and doesnt couse abstinence sindrome.. If you take care about who is with you and when you take it, lsd is one of the most beatiful things in the life.
Whit the actual dosis, bad trips rarely happen with this two things, set and settings.

It binds to a lot of G protein coupled receptors in the brain, it binds to most of the Seratonin receptors which is probably the reason for the psychotropic effects. It’s believed that they work by increasing glutamate release which causes excitation in the cortex. Basically…they interact with nerve cells and seratonin in the brain.
LSD can be used to treat cluster headaches but it is now ILLEGAL in the US as well as every other country in the United Nations.
Physical reactions to LSD are highly variable and may include the following: uterine contractions, hypothermia, fever, elevated levels of blood sugar, goose bumps, increase of heart rate, jaw clenching, perspiration, pupil-dilation, saliva production, mucus production, sleeplessness, paresthesia, euphoria, hyperreflexia, tremors and synesthesia. LSD users report numbness, weakness, trembling, and nausea.
There are a LOT of negatives about LSD, it wouldn’t be illegal if there weren’t. It’s a class I drug. Narcotics are divided into 5 classes, class II drugs include percocet and morphine and stuff like that. LSD is class I though, meaning that there are NO medical benefits that are worth the risk of taking them.
LSD makes you hallucinate. Each time you use it your ‘trip’ can be different. Some people report seeing really cool things like noises become colors instead. Some trips are INCREDIBLY scary though. I’ve known of people who have scratched their skin off because they hallucinated millions of spiders crawling all over their body. People have killed themselves due to hallucinations. In most cases (unless you overdose) it’s not the LSD itself that is particularly harmful to the person, it’s usually the hallucinations it gives people that cause them to put themselves in danger’s way.
Don’t use it. The government made it illegal for a reason. In fact, don’t use ANY illegal drugs. I’m in the health field and I have seen horrible things related to illegal drug abuse.
Well, both shroom and LSD serve as monamine agonists in the brain. Imaging shows that LSD use can lead to cell death in serotonergic neurons, greatly reducing your sensitivity to serotonin.
As for positive effects, they do tend to result in hallucinations, often including visual, auditory, and tactile sensations.
