i’ve heard that lsd, magic mushrooms and mdma can all have an effect on your heart rate (ie speeding it up) and that this could be a problem if you have a weak heart for example.
but what i want to know is, how much does it speed it up by? a noticeable amount? because alcohol supposedly increases your heart rate aswell, and while it might do, it’s not particularly noticeable.
when people say lsd etc increases your heart rate is it in the same way as alcohol?

Well to be honest, it really depends what you are doing when you are on those sorts of drugs…. From experience, I find that MDMA (ecstasy) will not speed up your heart much unless you are dancing or running or something… I find that on LSD my heart speeds up if I am scared for a second, like finding out through touching that the aquafina cap your looking at is actually a mushroom growing in the woods…. Magic mushrooms are like LSD and can speed your heart when confused or scared. I find the most physical effect of mushrooms is sweating, which happens profusely till about 4 hours into a trip, when it slows down.
I agree with Jon mostly. MDMA will elevate your heart rate some but that could just be cause you are dancing. LSD and mushrooms only elevate your heart rate if you get jumpy or are laughing your head off.
MDMA may speed up about 30% if your sitting still, but you Provably wudnt be so it’ll be like 40%. but only whilst on the drug. MDMA and LSD especially can leave your brain in worse shape to be honest.
drugs are for mugs! lots of young people have had serious strokes and heart attacks from using ecstasy not so sure anout lsd but your heart rate would be the last thing on your mind
