Symptoms Of Marijuana Withdrawals/detoxing??

Filed in Category Symptoms of Marijuana Use

I have been smoking everyday all day for almost the past year. I really am ready to quit because Im not fun anymore or productive like I used to be and im ready to live life again. (Some pot smokers can hang but I cant) I was just wondering what kind of things I will experience at first when I quit. Preferably answers from people who have gone through this experience…although others can feel free too =)

You will be one cranky mother ****er at first. Physical withdrawl symptoms will be mild, if you even have any. You will think about smoking a lot, and probably feel restless because of that. Replace your habit with physical activity, like jogging or whatever.
Stay away from situations where you would normally be exposed to pot for about a month. After that you will easily be able to turn down marijuana if it is offered. It’s not like alcohol, once an alcoholic always an alcoholic, or meth where you have to battle with the addiction for the rest of your life.
You are going to be fine, marijuana is not physically addicting, just habit forming. It’s easier to stop smoking weed then it is to quit drinking coffee.

if you’re a drinker, you might find yourself drinking more, which can be dangerous…other than that, pot doesn’t have much in the way of withdrawals/detox……irritability is one thing i’ve definitely noticed…but lets face it, it ain’t booze or ‘H’ or coke…..the withdrawal/detox is minimal….oh yeah, and this goes for cigarrettes too, you may have a persistant cough for awhile….the lungs have had it rough….

Im experiencing some withdrawals myself since its been 2 weeks since I last smoked. I’ve smoked pretty heavily,so I should know. Some stomach pain, moodiness, some depression,(maybe),sleeping difficulties, loss of apetite may be some symptoms you might encounter. But I’ve quit before,so I knew what to expect. It normally takes anywhwere from a week to a month before the withdrawals go away. You will be okay, everyones metabolism is different. Physical activity does help, etc, walking, jogging. But,normally, the symptoms aren’t severe enough to keep you from your work or responsibiltites. I’m sure that there are some cases however were it might be a bit more severe, but, like I say, peoples metabolisms are different. It will be a bit bumpy, but you’ll make it fine.

I know the main withdrawl symptom I had was mood swings. When you accustome your brain to such euphoria after a year it starts to depend on it.Your always laid back when you smoke and uptight when you don’t but if you really want to quit you can do it.I did it and I smoked all day, everyday for three years.

Trouble sleeping at night and boredom. Get a hobby and exercise if you feel the need to smoke. The withdrawls shouldn’t last any longer than a week.
