Please don’t ask this on Yahoo answers. Consult your health care provider. A temp of 103 is very high and a multitude of diagnoses could be responsible.

Most likely, it’s not a drug to use because it’s so dangerous. Get him to a methadone clinic.

It’s possible. Please call a doctor ASAP.

withdrawal symptoms of an opiate would not likely having that effect, it would most likely be difficulty sleeping, pain, nausea, and elevated temp but not that high of a temp. but at the same time its mostly only very constant users/hard addicts who will feel the withdrawal effects after quitting. you could use for a week straight and still not feel them after quitting.

And unlike another person to answer i do not recommend methadone as a treatment, while it works for some, it runs a decent risk of becoming another addiction (so when they leave the treatment they will crave it but possibly go back to heroin or another drug to stop/refocus the craving)

also withdrawal usually occurs the 4 days, give or take, JUST after quitting.
