My mother is 53 years old, and has been abusing crack cocaine on and off for over 27 years. Just recently she has been having these episodes where she would faint for 10 minutes while in the mist of getting high. This is her second time fainting in two months. Im very afraid of losing my mother. I will leave college if i have to. I believe its her body’s way of telling her its time to stop. What do you think happened inside of her body that caused this reaction? Is there anyone who has any particular knowledge of this drug or just any plain advice? Please, help me!

You LIE crack cocaine was not even around then stop asking stupid questions and go away if you cant say anything sensible here say nothing.
you know sometimes your body gets addicted to a substance and so dependent yet some organs start realizing that they can’t take the pressure anymore. believe me recovering alcoholic in my 20′s and wound up with pancreatitis for the rest of my life.
i think you need to be honest with your mom when she’s not high to check into a facility. she can’t cope getting off this drug on her own. not even a loving child like you can help.
honestly when it gets to this point of 27 years, i am not sure if there’s hope that she’ll stop. but i think you should do whatever you can to make you, yourself and your family, and even the Lord happy by taking out some student loans getting a job and moving away to college.
unfortunately if she doesn’t want to get help you must realize that if she doesn’t want to help herself now, she never will.

Your Mom is smoking crack……I believe that is the whole problem. My advice get her to stop smoking crack. I believe the crack may have had something to do with her becoming unconscious.
i feel really bad for you. your mother needs help, and very soon, i know you shouldn’t feel like your 53 year old mother is your responsibility, but she really needs your help, and someone that is abusing drugs that hard, and that much doesn’t realize they need help and can’t do it on their own. I’m so sorry!!!
the reason she is passing out is probably because some kind of oxygen cut off to her brain. i know it makes your heart beat really fast, and you can die of a heart attack. you need to please get her some help right away before she wakes up some morning dead after a night of getting high. i know it’s not something you want to hear, but one of these times when she faints she may not wake up. please please please get help for her. there are lots of help lines that you can all, or rehab programs that you can put her in.
give dr. Phil a call or send him an email, he does shows like this all the time, and puts people through rehab, and gets them all the help they need. you need to do something, anything. use your resources and come up with something.
Okay let me get this straight, your mom is smokin gcrack and your on the computer asking total strangers what to do about it? Time to stop? Of course, she should have never started. Turn her over to the cops and get on with your life. If she has such little respect for her own body, she probably cares less for others. I know you love her, but the only way to get her help is TO GET HER HELP. Call the cops and get her to a hospital. If you don’t it will be the blood on your own hands.
Oh and WONDPOCK or what ever, CHEW GUM to get over crack. OK, likes that gonna help! It ain’t cigs babe, it’s major sh*t! Chew Gum RIGHT!
Instead of smoking cocaine, tell her to chew gum or something its time shes got to stop. If she still doesnt go talk to the doctor and do something about it.
Your Mother needs to quit the cocaine. She knows this. It is indeed a warning sign that all is not well. I hope you don’t have to leave college to take care of her, although you may not have an option. Good luck with these answers.

It is due to a sudden drop in her blood pressure! Your mama needs help! One of those episodes will lead to heart stoppage and death!
YES you should quit school and everything else, if you really love her.
Take her in, hold her, tell her that you love her and feel her pain.
GET HER HELP, and be there for her always.
If your honest about this trouble my heart goes out to you and your mom as well.

Yes its time to stop, but I think after 27 years there’s no help left for her. It’s her brain, its giving out on her. To bad that she had to waste her life like that. Be nice to her and try to get her some help and rehab before its too late.

If you want to see your Mom live to see 54 you need to get her help. This is a sign that things are going to get bad.
Next time she faints take her to a doctor or hospital. She can get professional help and counseling there to slowly get her off the crack.
srry for saying this but report her to the polise and you will go to jail and she cant do them and the wort keep her long so that is my idea and she wont want to go to jail agan so she wont do it any more
She may have problems with her heart . I would check her in to the hospital.. then call a rehab clinic.
Sounds likes its time for an intervention and get her into rehab!
My brother was found dead six days ago from crack. He passed out on his bed and that was it. Whatever you do, get help. It’s horrible.
