I used to take it and had pretty bad withdrawl symptoms.
Has anyone else had any bad affects from it?

I will be honest. I was, in the past, addicted to narcotics and tranquilizers so my doctor decided to put me on Paxil after I quit the drugs. It didn’t help my ‘depression’ it made it worse and I also felt suicidal, which I had never felt before. I decided to quit taking the Paxil on my own and it was HARDER to get off of than ANY other drug I had ever been addicted to and those would be quite a few. Paxil is BAD and I am so glad I am off it. I feel sane again. I take no drugs now and feel great.
Withdrawal from any antidepressant can be unpleasant. You can have a worsening of your depression, vertigo, nasuea, etc. That’s why the doctor titrates (weens) you off slowly.
Paxil should not be on the market
it is an ssri & although it is claimed it is not addictive it is, (symptoms: http://www.psycom.net/depression.central… ) there also have been several studies where ssri’s & anti-depressants further complicate depression & can end up in worst possible cases in homocidial rage & suicides
