I am tired of prescription drugs. The costs, the lawsuits, the side effects, the government regulation.
I really could care less about celebrities since many of our families are walking around hooked on painkillers.

I am tired of opening up the Internet/TV or the newspaper and finding them all full of pointless tasteless celebrity news full stop.
MJ is dead – sad news. Farah Fawcett couldn’t hold on any longer- sad news. I am sad for a while but does it touch my life? No.
They (celebs )OD on prescription drugs? Thy are human and fallible just like the rest of us. So what…?!
Like you said, hear us hear about real people we can relate to, or how the government intends to make our lives even more of a train wreck.

I don’t know the answer to your question, except that the news outlets feel pressured to keep up with the ratings and what passes for news content these days is just really – gossip. News channels are rumor and gossip channels these days, little news.
Yes, I’m tired too.
Any now, everything is Michael Jackson everywhere, like when Anna Smith was on everywhere, or when OJ was on everywhere, or when Madonna did something.
Prescription drugs is soooooo boring. Looks like Jackson died like Presley – pushed by the inner circle to pump out platinum hits with little concern for his health.

You are so right! Even Fox News gets on the media bandwagon. Meanwhile, in North Korea, Iran, Iraq………
And now due to the media frenzy, the FDA wants to BAN Vicodin and Percocet; 2 very effective pain killers. And look at acetaminophen under attack now. Aspirin is more lethal than any of these.
Just goes to show, celebrities and media have too much control and influence.
I work in the medical field and there are so many people who truly suffer severe, chronic pain, and the physicians are hesitant to prescribe certain effective narcotics when appropriate. Too many self-centered and greedy people out there.
