I have tried heroin since i was 21, now i am 26. I suffered from severe withdrawal symptoms only once, in the beginning of my addiction. Now i am trying not to use H. I have always snorted it. No smoking, no needle. From time to time when i get back to motherland I always snort it every day. There have been times where i had used it everyday for a month or so, however I didnt suffer from cold turkey, except some sneezing, liquid nose, back muscle hurt and tears. Why didnt I want to hit my head on the wall like the first time? Why dont i have severe withdrawal symptoms except from these tiny flu-like things? The H i use is average (considered good) and on withdrawal i dont use any medication like opiades codeine or hypnotics and anti depressants. How come my body’s endorphins to cover the heroin absence so fast, (heroin molecules mimic endorphin’s molecules so the body is fooled and stops producing endorphins which cover pain on the body) I was feeling OK after 1 single day that I stopped a use of 30 full days of snorting at least 0.40gr of H… Why was it so easy?
Please answer only if u use H and you aren’t a retard because this is serious to me. It like makes me think that I can use heroin on will, but I know that H is the worst of the worst. Am I fatally wrong and fooled? I adore opiades… Thank you in advance, god bless you.

i’ve known one of my friends has been using heroin, along with many other drugs for years now. i’ve been trying, and will continue to, try to get him to quit.

but i talked to him earlier and he said “my arm hurts like f****ing hell” he also said it looked “bruised and s***”
is his vein collapsed? is it life threatening?

whatever you think it might be and some symptoms, so i can try to figure this out, get this out of the way and try to talk some sense into his thick skull.

I have a few questions about this medication…My bf is currently on it for his heroin use and I would like to hear from anyone who has/is been on this medication and how they dealt with it while using it and those who have been able to live life without it. Did you experience any side effects? Did you drink more caffeine? (My boyfriend asked bc he is up to 10 cups a day…though I think it is him getting back to work and the time change…) What was life like once you were off of it? Any withdrawal symptoms? Did you use again or did you have the urge? If so, how did you fight it??? Any answers would be appreciated from those who have any sort of experience with this subject as I worry considering what I have been through with my bf before he decided to finally get clean…Thanks : )

Would lisinopril help with heroin withdrawal symptoms the same way catapres does?

Ya, trying to kick it again, anytime i’m in a detox i get catapres…i’ve come across some lisinopril in my coupard and it’s used to treat the same thing which is; hypertension, high blood pressure. Please let me know if this is safe, i don’t want to pop 20 mg’s of this then go get high tomorrow and juss die haha.

My son ran a temp of 103. Could this be a withdrawal symptom from heroin?

My brother just came out of prison and for 12 days hes been using heroin (smoking it) and now wants to quit while hes ahead will he get any withdrawal symptoms from this short space of time he was using about 2 bags a day.Hes staying with me just now and cant seem to sleep feels tired and he says he cant quite catch a breath.. hes eating well an otherwise like someone whos just a bit unwell so will he get worse?
Ye he sees a parole an we live in the uk..
he has a huge record so they dont seem to bothered also he doesnt want to use any substitutes eg meth etc.And hes just told me roughly he had 6 bags a day sharing with someone else usually and u get for a bag at £10 about 0.4 of a gram or something like that….he is really agitated right now and telling me his plans of his new life over and over..Any suggestions?
He went out this morning dont know where to ! hopefully not away to get more or he is on his own

A person whom I know uses Heroin/opiates and was sick, but now a short time later is experiencing other symptoms that of what I know is hypoglycemic/diabetes is it possible to contract it from just using heroin or other opiates.

My 23 year old cousin has been acting REALLY weird lately, and the general consensus is that he might be using drugs. We’re not sure though because he’s VERY secretive about his life, and tends to get very defensive when anything is brought up to him. About a month ago, he put sheets up on his bedroom windows. When asked why, he stated that the blinds were broken and the sun glare was too much. I offered to go into his room, to change the blinds, but he refused & stated that he was doing just fine with the sheets up. His mom said she had read somewhere that doing something as strange/random as that is a sign of heroin use. Something about paranoia or the massive feelings of guilt that accompany said drug use. I’ve looked online, but no such mention. Nothings missing, besides the moodiness, all else seems ok.Has anyone ANY idea about things like this? Especially about those darn sheets he has up. Is this normal or are we overreacting? Thank you. ALL answers welcome…
