Of course this was so shocking to me and it was such a blow to my stomach. When I found out I felt betrayed, so I began to look up symptom’s of cocaine use before confronting him. As I read various articles on cocaine I couldn’t believe I was actually dating someone with such a habit. But it did answer a lot of questions I had about our relationship, such as our sex life was irregular and I thought he just simply wasn’t attracted to me or cheating not knowing that losing interest in sex as well as many other things was a side effect. Then I started to realize that he always blew his nose a lot but claimed he never had a cold. Another side effect called “draining.” All these things began to add up and I felt so crushed because I would have never known had I not ran into his ex girlfriend. With that said I approached him about the info I had found out and he said it was an old habit that he left behind and he no longer was involved in those type of things. Like a dummy I wanted to believe it so bad so I went along with it. Two months have passed and our sex life is non existant and that’s the only thing that would lead me to believe he is back on his old habits. I know I should let this relationship go, that is not the problem. The problem is how do I let him know I don’t want to be involved with him anymore and not cause him to turn to the drug even more or heavier if he’s using? I know I can’t control his actions regardless but I just want to get out and not be the cause of him turning or relying heavily on his old habit.
Thanks for everyone’s responses…I appreciate them all. Just to shed a little more detail on the situation. He was with his ex girlfriend for 3 years. He left her because they could never keep any money in the house between the two of them. How the conversation came about was that she told me as if I already knew as if I were just a new girlfriend that he did blow with. And when she said it, her response was: “You didn’t know? Girl please why do you think he’s never home during nights and he comes in at 3am in the morning?” The funny thing about it is that she lives in Mississippi and knew him like a book. At the beginning of our relationship that’s exactly what he did. When I confronted him about it he assured me that he’d let me know if he need help and I laughed like “Yeah right!” But he said that was the reason why he left her. The only symptoms I see now is that he rubs his nose a lot and we have no sex at all. None. He’s not on anti-depressants at all.

The person asked me if I wanted to use marijuana but I said no. I went to work afterwards and felt fine from what I can remember. I would remember any strange symptoms. I don’t see any needle marks or anything on my arms or anywhere. I have looked on the internet for symptoms of drug use (cocaine, marijuana, etc) and they really don’t seem to fit me at all. I guess that I just want some reassurance that’s all because I am so disease conscious and I worry about this all the time.
I had this person who asked me if I wanted marijuana suck my penis. If this person smoked marijuana or did any other drug like cocaine or any other drug would it show up in my system through his saliva?

It was really just a line and is definitely not habitual for me. The effect of it lasted way to long. Four hours later I still had a numbness on the side of my face where I had snorted the line. My heart was beating a bit quicker than usual and I felt a bit drowsy. I have to say that I was very tired on that day anyway. During the evening the symptoms seemed to disappear and I went to sleep at around 1 a.m. The next morning I could barely get out of bed and when I finally did, I realized that the side of my face was still a bit numbish and I felt a bit light headed. I realized that my nose was blocked but I also have to say that I had a bit of a sore throat on that Sunday already before I had snorted the coke. On Monday evening my face got better but I realized then that the arm and leg of the other side of my body were getting a bit ticklish and weakish. I could still walk and move normally though. Damn it!!!! I thought I must have had a little stroke, a TIA or something. Straight away I started taking aspirin and spent half the night researching my symptoms. Obviously I felt shit the next day after 4 hours of sleep and a still slightly weak feeling on the same side of my body. I went through my daily routine and even attended a yoga class. Weak…but i could still do it.
It’s Wednesday evening now. I have a headache, the weakness is better but I still have a cold.
I want to call a doctor tomorrow to schedule an appointment. I first wanted to make sure that the coke was out of my system…

Can somebody tell me something?? Should I be really worried??? I’ve heard people died after having cold-like symptoms after drug use…BUT I’m not taking any other drugs and it was really just a line…
