Prison and jail rules regarding which prescriptions are a necessity would vary from state to state.
Your best bet would be to hire a lawyer and let him deal with this.

So you’re in jail but you have access to the Internet?
I guess a lot has changed since I spent time in the slammer. I bet they make you wear off-the-rack jumsuits too, and probably give you only one choice of dessert at every meal. Those bastards.
The only way to get back at them is to die. Then they’ll have to do all that paperwork to get rid of your mangy druggy body. Go cry somewhere else. I think they should withhold your food and water too.

Only if its not very important like they can keep even prescripted advil and aspirin but if its like a one a day or death thing and your not already sceduled for execution i don’t think they can ,but they can also force you to take some medication against your will.

yeah and i guess the withdraw cigarettes smokers go threw isent any different from your case, in other words smokers dont get cigarettes or patches in prison, why should you get methadone?
Also, when did they start puting computers in the cells?
