Signs of Marijuana Abuse | Signs of Cocaine Abuse | Signs of Heroin Abuse | Signs of Pill Abuse
Filed in Category Symptoms of Exstacy Use
About 5 years ago I took a pill of Exstacy. While on the pill I got a severe headache. The headache lasted about 3 hours and it felt like someone was grabbing the tendons on the back of my neck and squeezing them with all their might as well as a knife like pain through the front right half of my brain. I became disorientated and had trouble making coherent sentences. I had to lay down for about an hour and I kept hearing a gun-shot like sound, similar to a loud crack, that I know was only in my head. These symptoms cleared up after about 4 hours and I felt back to normal after about 3 days. Please don’t respond if you’re going to critique me about the Exstacy. I know it was the contributing factor, but NO it was not all the drug. I was an experienced Exstacy user at the time and was extremely careful in my use. To this day I still have a warm fuzzy feeling in my head. Whether or not the symtoms were caused by the Exstacy, they occured, and it concerns me that I may have had a stroke.

I feel that it is , go see a doctor …please
these are not symptoms of a stroke, you just had a bad trip
more like seizure and hallucinations and permanent brain damage
The symptoms you describe do not sound like a typical stroke. In addition, I assume you’re young, and therefore at low risk for a stroke. It sounds more like a tension headache or migraine. However, any time someone is on drugs, its always difficult to tell what’s going on with them neurologically, and I don’t think you can rule out a stroke. Still, most people who have had a stroke have numbness/tingling and associated motor weakness in their legs or arms.
As I assume you know, prolonged exstasy use depletes certain neurochemicals in your brain which may be contributing to the “warm fuzzy” feeling you have in your head.
Did you test the pill before you took it to check its purity? If not, it seems likely that you could have taken a pill contaminated with another substance.
Finally, if you were doing exctasy, perhaps you were doing other drugs – crack cocaine, powder cocaine, amphetamines, speed balls, etc. all put you at a high risk for stroke – if you were taking any of these, they may have caused your symptoms.
And quit repeating your questions.
this is your brain on drugs. you can have a different reaction any time you take a drug.
No, nothing you are speaking of are stroke symptoms.
