3.Do you think shows aimed at teenagers such as Hollyoaks and Skins glamorize casual sex, drug use and alcohol?(if yes please explain why) Yes, as it often doesn’t show the consquences properly and teenagers in it are shown to always be drinking or having casual sex. This might influence young people to act in this way.
4. Do you drink? If so when was the last time you went out with the sole intention to get drunk. Yes last saturday due to it being a friends 18th birthday party
5. Would you say that teenage television programming is accurate to real life? Some is and does address problems teenagers face but some just clouds over the problems and provides only entertainment far from the truth.
6. Do you think that these types of shows are appropriate for younger teenagers (13-15) please explain your reasoning
No, as it teaches them things they should be learning themselves. It might also get them into bad habits like getting drunk for the hell of it at too young an age. Or smoking because they’ve seen it on TV and it has been glamourised.

My answers:
1- if I had to average it daily maybe an hour or two
2- simpsons, she’s crafty, and antiques roadshow
3- I wouldn’t necessarily call it glamorized just because everytime a story that involves those things usually ends that the character gets busted or has to pay some conciquence for it. But it definitly is prominant, over dramatized and the story plot for the majority of episodes
4-I do drink and not yesterday but the Sunday before that.
5-I would say that it is 70 percent accurate not that teens don’t have other problems or do they respond to those problems in the way tv portrays but I think sex drugs and drinking are probably the most common and hardest problems teenagers face.
6-hmmm I know I grew up watching 90210 and I turned out okay but I probably wouldn’t let my kids watch teen dramas until they were about 15 or 16. Mainly because there is a lot they won’t understand until they are faced with those problems and I believe in the preservation of innocence.
